APOSTROPHE, MARY SHAN and KOHEROA were weekend candidates to impress during Tuesday mornings training session. 

Galloping on the back sand, APOSTROPHE returned a stylish solo workout running her last 1000m  in 1.5.5 sprinting the concluding 600m in 37.3. She appears to have improved since her comfortable victory in the Manawatu Breeders Stakes and looks the one to beat in Saturdays G2 Travis Stakes at Te Rapa.  

KOHEROA and MARY SHAN hit the finish of 1000m together clocked in 1.3.8 dashing the last 600m in 36.8.  Both look in excellent order ahead of Saturday’s G3 Cambridge Breeders’ Stakes and are difficult to split.

VAL DI ZOLO was another Te Rapa candidate to catch the eye with nice work over 1200m the final 1000m in 1.8 and the 600m in 38.1.

DECEMBER did very well from the 800m run in 51.6 sprinting home in 37.2.

OVERDRAWN and CANNON HILL were on terms throughout 1000m in 1.7.9 and 38.5. RUDYARD left 1200m behind at three quarter pace, quickening over the last 600m in 40.

IRISH LEGACY was kept under a strong hold from the 800m run in 57.4 the 600m in 39.6.

BILLY LINCOLN and THE GREENKEEPER ran their final 600m of 1000m in 40.3.

KENTUCKY ROSE was timed from the 600m in 41.

BLACK QUEEN came to the end of 1200m in 1.22 home in 38.

SHOW ME LOVE came 800m in 53.

AMAZING GRACE ran her 800m in 54 and 38.3.

PARAGON left 1200m behind in 1.21 sprinting the final 600m in 38.4.

SLIPPER ISLAND and ACQUARELLO came in from the 1000m in 1.6.5 and 38.

IMPENDABELLE and REVUELTO completed 1000m in 1.9.2 and 39. 

While SHAKIN STEVENS ran his 1000m in 1.10 and 40.5.  SUN MOON and STARS AND VOWS returned 38.1 from the 600m. 

POETIC JUSTICE ran 1000m in 1.9 home in 38.6.

On the front sand:

WINDSONG and PHARAOH'S DREAM took time honours when clocked 1000m in 1.6, the concluding 600m in 38.3.

SATIN DOLL did well over 1000m run in 1.8.4 and 38.5.

CITY GIRL left 800m behind in 53.7 and 39.

THE CHOSEN TOZEN ran 600m in 40.8. 

WELL I NEVER came in from the 1000m in 1.9.7 home in 41.

LADY PAPPYGATE and SABOTS D’OR strode 800m in 57.6 and 42.

SPORTING CHANCE was timed 600m in 41.1. 

WESSEX 39.8 and PACIFICO 42.

On a soft no3 grass:

DEVASTATE shaded WHITE NOISE over an impressive 1200m run in 1.17.3, sprinting the final 600m in 37.6.

MR MOJO RISIN' had TURN THE ACE for a mate over 1000m in 1.6 and 37.9.

Both travelled sweetly throughout. 

C'EST MOI left 1000m, behind in 1.8 and 39.4.

GLOBAL CURRENCY cut 1200m out in 1.24, the concluding 600m in 41.

MARGARET JEAN ran her 1000m in 1.9 and 40.3.

SAINT BATHENS  returned  1.5.9 and 37.8 for 1000m.
