ARCHAEC SMILE and POETIC CHAMPION impressed when preparing for Saturdays Breeders Stakes day at Matamata this Saturday.

On the front plough the stablemates hit the finish of 1000m together clocked in 1.7.2 sprinting the last 600m in 38.1. 

 ARCHAIC SMILE, who will take her place in the two year old fillies classic couldn't have been more impressive  winning the Wellesley Stakes last start. She looks in fantastic order and should prove tough to beat. 

POETIC CHAMPIAN ran a beauty in the Karaka Millions after being trapped wide throughout.  He will run in the Matamata Slipper and gives the stable a realistic chance of success in both two year old features. 

RED SEA enhanced his chances for Saturdays Matamata Slipper with encouraging work alongside MUSTANG VALLEY. The Forsman trained pair were timed from the 1000m in 1.6 the concluding 600m in 38.3.

RED SEA was a comfortable winner over 800m at the recent Cambridge trials. He should race well.

HARLOW ROCKS and SIGN OF PEACE were both full of running at the finish of 1400m running the 1200m in 1.23.6 the final 600m in 38.7.

VAL DI ZOLO and BLUE BAY were sent 1200m run in 1.24.5 and 39.

SASKATOON and JORDAN WARRIOR came in from the 600m in 41.1.

MOONLIGHT MAGIC had WREN for a mate over 1000m in 1.9 home in 39.1.

LOVE POEM and I'M ALL IN cut out the last 600m of an easy 1000m in 41.5.

MISS ROCKETTE strode a comfortable solo 1000m in 1.10.9 and 42.

SPORTING CHANCE and SAINT BATHENS matched motors over a solid 1000m in 1.6 the concluding 600m in 38.4.

Last start winner MARK TWAIN came to the end of 1200m in 1.22.4 home in 39.5.

DEVASTATE was not after time over 800n completing the final 600m in 42.8.

ACHIEVE left 1400m behind in 1.39, home in 39.7.

BURN TO SHINE ran 1200m in 1.25.7 with the concluding 600m in 40.4.

EL VENCEDOR was in good form over 1200m the last 600m in 39.

WITZ END and FULL MOON FEVER strode 1000m in 1.11.3 and 41.7.

SATIN DOLL and VOLKNER were given easy work over 1000m in 1.10.8 and 41.

KOHEROA was not extended throughout 800m running the final 600m in 42.1.

RETRO STAR and MORNING COCO ran 600m in 41.

ARMINO followed in 59 and 43.3.

ARROWETTE was timed 600m in 42.

ACQUARELLO and best seller were sent an effortless 400m in 29.6.

FASTER SOONER NOW, SAMPI and TACHYON ran their final 600m of 800m in 39. BLISSFUL LADY was timed from the 600m in 41.5 while CHEVAL D’OR came  in from the 600m in 38.8.

CINAMAN and HOARD THE BOURBON were paired over 1000m quickening from the 600m in 39.2 

AMAZING GRACE and CHAVEL BOUTIQUE cut 1000m out in 1.9.3 and 39.4.
