KHUFU looks at peak fitness for Saturday’s Gr.II Dundeel at Arrowfield Hawke’s Bay Guineas.

Galloping on the polytrack KHUFU was restrained during his 1000m final workout, his last 600m timed in 39.2. He faces a strong field of three-year-olds, but has plenty of natural ability and will be tough to beat.

HOARD THE BOURBON was kept under a hold from the 800m, the final 600m in 41.1. He also heads to Hastings for the Guineas .

ROBUSTO, who ran a nice second last start, was in good form when completing 1600m in 1:51.2, sprinting the final 600m in 37.4.

CLIQUE strode comfortably over 800m, the 600m in 43. WESTERN SPRINGS was sent an easy 600m in 46.

CAMAROSA returned the quickest gallop of the morning session, with impressive work over 1000m in 1:3.6, dashing home in 36.3. ENCANTADOR came to the end of 1000m in 1:5.5, sprinting home in 37.6. TELLALL returned 1:7.9 and 38 for 1000m.

RAPID FALLS was timed 1000m in 1:9.4 and 40.2. ONEOUTOFTHEBOX ran 600m in 43.1.

PRESS STATEMENT|CONVENE and DARCI BRAHMA|DIAMOND DECK matched strides over 600m in 37.4. LEBANESE TRADER was clocked from the 600m in 41. CHARLIE CHUCKLE was sent 800m, the last 600m in 39.1. TIME TEST|THE BECKETT had SATONO ALADDIN|LEMONADE for a companion in a breeze-up over 400m in 27.6.

Working on the sand MERITABLE, another local entered for the Dundeel at Arrowfield Hawke’s Bay Guineas and LADY KOVAL were not after time when galloping 1000m in 1.11, finishing off in 43. Both are leading chances at Hastings.

SWEET ANNA ran 800m in 56 and 41. She was a recent trial winner and should race well fresh at Hastings. MUSTANG VALLEY did well over 1000m, the last 600m in 39.4.
