OUTRIVAL left little doubt about his fitness for weekend racing at New Plymouth with impressive work.

Galloping on the poly-track, OUTRIVAL started at three-quarter from the 1200m, quickening over the last 600m in 38.7.  He won fresh up on the same track and a repeat would not be surprising.

DAWN PARADE, who is in a consistent vein of form, came in nicely from the 1000m, the concluding 600m in 39.3.  He races at Rotorua where he has won previously and looks a good winning chance.

TELLALL was not after time over 800m in 53.5.

RAPID FALLS was sent an easy 800m, the final 400m in 27.

MISS ONAKI left 1200m behind in 1:22.6, sprinting the last 600m in 38.9.

CATALYST ran the last 400m of an easy 800m in 27.2.

SHINING PEAK left 600m behind in 38.1.

PREFERMENT|HAAFRA HEAD, TELPERION|THORNBIRD LASS and ROC DE CAMBES|MYSTERY CREEK came to the end of an easy 800m in 55.6 and 41.

ALMANZOR|LAZAAN and PROISIR|LADY LUCILLE matched strides over 800m, the final 400m in 27.4.

CONTRIBUTOR|DIOSH and DARCI BRAHMA|DOUBLE IMAGE worked well together, sprinting 600m in 36.7.

FIELD OF GOLD was kept under a firm hold over, the 400m in 27.9.

ROCONONO ran an easy 600m in 40.3.  SAMIAM SEUSSIE completed the last 400m of an easy 800m in 28.

On a heavy No.4 grass LYCOMEDES was restrained to three-quarter pace from the 800m.

He ran an encouraging third on the poly-track on debut and is set to run well in the NZB Insurance Pearl Series Race at Rotorua on Saturday.

Working on the sand:

NIGHT RAIDER, who ran a good second fresh on testing ground, looked in good order for Rotorua with nice comfortable work over 600m in 42.  Race rival and stablemate MISTRESS MINX followed in 43.1.

SHE’S APPLES completed 800m in a comfortable 57.8 and 43.7.

ONEROA and EXPRESS PRINCESS were on terms throughout 800m, the last 600m in 40.9.
