YOU SAY D’ORSAY looks set to claim his third win from four starts this weekend after producing encouraging final work this morning.
Galloping on the poly track, YOU SAY D’ORSAY had stablemate EMMY DAZZLER for a companion over the1000m, run in 1.7, sprinting the concluding 600m in 37.2. He will take his place in the small but handy field of three-year olds at Tauranga.
His only blemish was a brave second behind  the talented gelding HAT TRICK at his latest start.
On the back sand:
The above mentioned     HAT TRICK, who is attempting a hat trick of victories when he takes his place in the 1400m R75 at Gate Pa was not extended throughout 1000m timed in 1.9.8 the final 600m in 41.7.
He's a big chance as long as the track maintains decent ground footing.
Japan trophy candidate SAINT BATHENS worked 1200m, clocked in 1.23, coming from the 600m in 39.1. He was a brave third in a blanket finish behind FASHION SHOOT and MUSTANG VALLEY last weekend.
ETHEREAL STAR, another local with strong winning claims at Tauranga left 1000m behind in 19.5, home in 39.3.
MALDINI prepared for Tauranga with a comfortable 800m the final 600m in 42.
