ABEYANCE looks set to exit maiden ranks at Te Rapa this weekend, after returning encouraging final work .

 

Galloping on the plough, ABEYANCE hit the line full of running at the completion of 1000m in 1.8, sprinting the last 600m in 38. With the ace draw and top Jockey Michael McNab aboard, she could get Andrew Forsman’s solo training career off to the perfect start.

 

CHAMARIO, who won with plenty in hand last start, was well held when timed from the 600m in 40.2. He will be hard to beat in the Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre 2yo Stakes 1200m at Te Rapa.

 

SIDE EYE, from the in-form Chris Wood’s stable, enhanced his Te Rapa chances with a nice workout timed from the 1000m in 1:8.2, finishing the 600m in 38.4.

 

MEGA BOURBON, another local with a strong chance at Te Rapa, sprinted the concluding 600m of his work in 38.7.

 

Last start winner WESTWOOD looked fit for the Waikato Equine Veterinary Centre 2yo Stakes at Te Rapa. She was not after time over 1000m, run in 1:10.1, home in 41. MASTER PARK was clocked 1000m in 1:9.9, finishing off in 41.1. OSAKA followed in 1:12.6 and 43.5.

 

APOSTROPHE came in from the 1000m in a comfortable 1.10, the concluding 600m in 41.6.

MR MAESTRO was timed an easy 600m in 42. MAZZOLINO, who has been placed in all three trials, and is set to debut at Te Rapa, came in 600m in 42.3. RAPOSA RAPIDA followed in 42.8.

 

HOARD THE BOURBON completed 1000m in 1:9.9, the last 600m in 40.7. LANEWAY FLIRTING ran the concluding 600m of 1000m in 42.5. ALTA BELLA left 1400m behind in 1:41.4, the final 600m in 41.3.

 

HOT PINX came to the end of 1000m in 1:9.5, finishing off in 39.2. GINSBURG returned 1:10.1, sent 40 for 1000m. BELLADONNA completed her 1000m in 1:9.2 and 39.4. AYYESHA and BELARDO|KHALES matched strides from the 600m in 38.2.

 

RUBELLITE and SAVABEEL|CLEVEDON BAY were timed from the 600m in 38.7.
