FRANCESCA appeared to handle the heavy conditions when preparing for Awapuni this weekend.

 

Working on the No.4 grass FRANCESCA, who faces her toughest challenge in Saturday's Open metric mile, was not fully extended when timed from the 1000m in 1:10.6, completing the final 600m in 41.8. She should be hard to beat.

 

WESSEX was given an easy 600m in 45.1. The TURN ME LOOSE filly will make her debut at Matamata this Saturday. She has a victory from two trials.

 

Galloping on the poly track impressive last start winner KHUFU looked in fantastic order when running 1000m in 1:8.9, coming in from the 600m in 39.4. He has plenty of ability but will be having his first run on heavy ground at Matamata.

 

EL NOIR, who has been in solid form, was not pushed when running the final 600m of 800m in 41.3.

 

LA BELLA BEALS, who ran an eye-catching third on debut at Taupo, came in from the 600m in 40.9. She is due to start at Matamata.

 

RIVER RUN hit out nicely over 1200m in 1:22.1, coming home in 38.6. He brings good form into Matamata this weekend.

 

RAPID FALLS, who won well on heavy ground fresh up, was sent 1000m in 1:8.1 and 38.

 

DANCE ‘N’ SING and POWERFUL MOSS left 1000m behind in 1:9.4, finishing off in 40.

 

SHE’S APPLES worked in from the 600m in 41.9. PACKING JOY looked fit for a fresh up race at Matamata, completing 600m in 41.5. OSO SAVVY was clocked from the 600m in 42. CATALYST was again in good form, running 1200m in 1:20.7, sprinting home in 38.9.

 

MAKZABEEL worked in from the 1000m in 1:9.3 and 40. BRAHMA SUNSET came to the end of 800m in 54.2.

 

BENTAYGA ran the last 1000m of 1200m in 1:8.3 and 38.3. BEST COMMAND had SHOOTING TO WIN|COMIC MISS for a companion over 600m in 38.9.
