GLOBAL CURRENCY looks an excellent winning chance at Te Rapa this weekend, after returning nice work this week.

 

On the sand GLOBAL CURRENCY backed up impressive Tuesday work with a comfortable 1000m run in 1:11.7, with the final 600m in 43. He has been in solid form and with Opie Bosson on and the No. 1 gate, he will be very competitive in the Dunstan Feeds Stayers Championship Qualifier over 2100m.

 

ZEE FALLS, one of several locals entered for Saturday’s Humphries Construction Manawatu Cup, strode 1200m, completing the last 600m in 42.1. She ran an encouraging second last start and should race well. Stablemate and race rival SUMMER FESTIVAL, ran the last 600m of 1200m in 42.6.

 

CHAKANA had an easy run over 1000m, finishing off in 44.3. OSO SAVVY strode 1000m in 1:15.6 and 43. HE’S THE MAN came to the end of 1000m in 1:14.4, home in 43.7.

 

ONEOUTOFTHEBOX was clocked 600m in 45. ALL BLACK BOURBON looked fit for Te Rapa, cutting 1000m out in 1:10.3 and 43.1. TIGERFIRE and REGAL LION matched strides over 800m in 56.8.

 

Galloping on a heavy No. 4 grass, last start winner MARRONI, who heads to Awapuni for Saturday’s Humphries Construction Manawatu Cup, was well held from the 1200m in 1.28, finishing off in 44.1.

 

ONEROA enhanced her weekend’s chances with nice work over 800m, the last 600m in 41.8.

SPIRIT OF BAZ ran 1200m in 1:23.4, home in 41.

 

SPRING DELIGHT followed in 1:24.2 and 41.3. ILLUMINATION ran the final 600m of 1000m in 44. AEGON left 1200m behind in 1.25, home in 42.1.

 

On the poly-track:

 

LONDON BOUND, a previous winner at Te Rapa and back from a stint down south, cruised 1000m in 1.10, the concluding 600m in 39.9. SHERWOOD FOREST looked in good order for the open 1600m at Te Rapa when running 800m in 56.

 

TELPERION|THORNBIRD LASS and GYPSY PRINCESS ran the last 600m of 800m in 40. GLOBOX did well, sprinting 600m in 37. RAPID FALLS, who had copped a wide draw at Te Rapa, was let off with a three-quarter pace 1200m. PRINCE OF BROOKLYN|UMACHELLE sprinted 600m in 37.1.

 

CONTRIBUTER|DOSH and BRAZEN BEAU|SHENANDOAH ran 800m in 57.2. KARAKAZE was clocked from the 600m in 38.5.

 

CONTEMPLATION worked in from the 600m in 39.7. ROCCIA followed with 1000m in 1.9 and 39.3.

 

AMAZING SACRED and PINS|FALENA left 600m behind in 40.
