MUSTANG VALLEY gave every indication she is ready to notch up win number one this weekend with excellent final work this morning.
June 10, 2021

Galloping on a slow No. 2 grass, MUSTANG VALLEY looked to have superiority over her stablemates and race rivals in the two old 1200m at Te Rapa – LOLITA and POTOSI at the completion of 1000m, run in 1:8.4, coming the last 600m in 38.5.

MUSTANG VALLEY followed an encouraging second on debut with a strong late finish for fourth over 1400m. She drops back in distance but that shouldn't affect her winning chances.

ANDIUN and CRAFTY JESS, who both race at Te Rapa Saturday, worked well together when timed from the 1000m in 1:8.9, the concluding 600m in 38.8.

ANDUIN has been placed over two of three starts over Saturday's distance and with an inside draw should be hard to beat. CRAFTY JESS normally races well at Te Rapa.

On the all-weather track DIVINE DIVE got through his work nicely when clocked 1000m in 1.9, sprinting the last 600m in 37.2. He was a convincing winner three starts back and was close up last start. The ace draw should enhance his Te Rapa prospects.

FIGHTING FIRE, who has been in good form this campaign, looked fit for Te Rapa when sent 700m, coming in from the 600m in a comfortable 42.4.

LUCA DELI, who is set to debut in the Skycity Hamilton 1200 at Te Rapa, ran the last 600m of 800m in 40.1.

LOCK UP was timed 600m in 42. He ran an eye catching third at Counties last start.

CHAKANA, another Te Rapa candidate to run well last start, came in from the 600m in 42.3.

ASPIRING was given easy work over 1000m, the last 600m in 44.4.

MEDALZA ran the last 600m of 800m in 43. HE’S THE MAN followed with 800m, the 600m in 42.1.

RUSAVY was in good form in a solo gallop over 1000m in 1:7.4 home in 37.8. SHEZDELICIOUS left 1200m behind in 1:23.1, home in 38.

MONGOLIAN WINGS and INNOVATION cut out 800m in 52 and 38.1.
