Ride To Time
A very successful day as 12 young equestrian riders took part in the second of a series of "Ride To Time" events being held at the Cambridge JC track.

These are being held with the support of Love Racing and today was under the expert tuition of jockeys Trudy Thornton and Elen Nicholas. The participants come from a ride variety of equestrian backgrounds with eventers, show-jumpers and even a few dressage and show riders attending. Every single one finished the day with a smile on their face and said they are going home having learnt a few new skills which they can put into their everyday riding. All are keen to come to the next one (July 4th) with the aim to ultimately secure a place in the Ride To Time final which is being held on Wednesday 28th July.

Todays participants were: Saf Cowan, Kendra & Mikayla Rogers, Lauren Phillips, Mei Chin, Valentina Di Maio, Sophie Flintoff, Jorja Nelson, Taya Le Normand, Lexi Nolan, Stephanie Rear & Caitlin Raklander.

In a tightly contested contest Sophie Flintoff came out the winner with an impressive time of 1.20.46. Kendra Rogers was second in 1.21.04 with Lexi, Lauren and Mikayla filling the minor placings.

Sohie is a successful eventing rider having recently come back from competing at the NZ Pony Club eventing championships held at Cromwell. Sophie was in the Waikato team and placed 2nd overall in the 14yrs and under class.
